Subject: DONOR RECOGNITION POLICY |
||

POLICY: Realizing
that the donor, whether individual or corporate, is the crucial element in
any giving program, The Foundation for PROCEDURE I. For every gift, regardless of size, a written thank you,
hand signed will be sent within three business days after receipt. 1.
For gifts of
over $1,000, there will be a second letter within one month from the
President/COO. 2.
For memorials
or tributes, a signed card will be sent to whomever the donor requests within
three business days after receipt. The
Donor will be notified that the memorial or tribute has been received and
that the honoree has been notified of same (no amount on honoree=s note). II Permanent, public recognition for
every donor with cumulative gifts of $10,000, and give permission for the
public recognition. 1.
There will be a
permanent Donor list in the lobby of 2.
If an
individual wishes to open a named philanthropic fund with the Foundation, an
initial investment of $100,000 is required.
The named fund will be recognized on the engraved Donor list. 3.
All donors who
contribute $1,000 or more will receive a phone call immediately to let the
donor know the gift has arrived. 4.
There may be an
annual reception to recognize all donors who have given at least $1,000 that
fiscal year. 5.
There will be
an engraved list of those who have signed a letter of intent to remember 6.
Recognition of
contributions to specific campaigns will be determined in the campaign plan.
In general, permanent recognition will be placed at the site of any new
construction or capital project. 7.
Design of any
public recognition should be reviewed and approved by the Interior Design
Committee. The Board of Directors has final approval of any significant
public recognition. DURATION: This policy
will be re-evaluated by the Philanthropic Development Committee every three
years beginning in 2005. |
